
Wildlife artist Wade Butler, a 1969 graduate of Texas State University, has been painting Texas wildlife and landscapes for more than 20 years. He began his art career after serving 15 years as a fisheries biologist for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
Butler has been a Texas Ducks Unlimited artist of the year, and his original paintings are used by Ducks Unlimited, the Coastal Conservation Association, Quail Unlimited, the National Elk Foundation and many other groups to raise funds for conservation.
Over the past two decades, Butler has made his mark in the sporting and wildlife art world. His work appears in some of the most prestigious art shows, including the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition in Charleston, S.C., the Ducks Unlimited Wildlife Show in Kansas City, Mo., and the Oklahoma Wildlife Show in Tulsa, Okla.
