Full-Service Project Production

The Office of University Marketing is your one-stop shop for Texas State communications projects — even if you’re not sure exactly what you need.  We will meet with you to help you decide how best to reach your goal, whether the solution is a direct mail piece, brochure, poster or Web page. We consider your audience, message, distribution method and budget. Then we get to work.

We have writers on staff who can edit copy you provide or research and write original copy for your project. Our full-time photographer can capture images on campus to make your piece uniquely Texas State. And our graphic designers combine those words and photos in a creative, visually appealing and effective way to ensure your project connects with its audience and meets its objective.

If your project requires professional printing, we’ll handle it. We work with on- and off-campus printers, reviewing the printers’ proofs and addressing any problems that arise to ensure the quality of your finished product.

Best of all, our services are offered at no cost to Texas State departments. You pay only for the printing!

Production Process

Production times vary depending on complexity of projects and current department workload, but you can expect the same process each time you work with the Office of University Marketing.

  1. To get started, we must collect some basic information about your project. Please complete a Creative Services Request, providing us with as much advance notice as possible.
  2. Your project will be assigned to a writer/designer team, and you will be invited to a planning meeting with them to discuss the details of your project, including a timeline for its completion.
  3. Our writers will edit the copy you provide to ensure it is grammatically correct and consistent with the university’s editorial style, or they will research and/or write original copy on your request.
  4. Once you have approved the copy, our graphic designers will complete the layout of your project, designing your piece so that it is in line with the Texas State’s branding initiative and consistent with the standards set forth in the university’s graphic style guide.
  5. Once you have approved the designed piece, we’ll send it to a printer (if applicable) who can produce your project within your budget.
